I have written a couple of articles about the best BL series and it only included BL series from China, Taiwan, and Thailand. The Philippines has not produced a BL series at that time so I am now making a new post of the best BL series you should watch including the ones from The Philippines and Vietnam.
To be honest, it was very hard to rank these BL series because some of them are equally good. I have watched all of these series and I highly recommend that you watch these too if you are into BL.

Must-Watch BL Series
21 Tien Bromance
Country: Vietnam
Tien Bromance is probably the first Vietnamese BL series with a huge budget. It started as a horror/suspense series and then turned into action and drama.At first, it was kinda weird, but you’ll appreciate it a soon as it progresses. The most interesting parts are after episode 5.
20 Make It Right
Country: Thailand
Make It Right is a 2016 Thai BL series about the lives and adventures of high school students. It highlights the story of Fuse who is gentle and sensitive who meets his old friend, Tee at a party and ended up sleeping with him that night.
19 Why R U?
Country: Thailand
WHY R U is a 2020 Thai BL series which stars Saint Suppapong Udomkaewkanjana as Tutor, Zee Pruk Panich as Fighter, Tommy Sittichok Pueakpoolpol as Zon, and Jimmy Karn Kritsanaphan as Safiah. It’s a story about two people who initially do not like each other but ultimately got along and then love happens.
18 Love By Chance
Country: Thailand
Love by Chance is another Thai BL series based on the novel My Accidental Love Is You. It’s about the story of two people who met by chance. Yes, it’s serendipity! It stars Perth Tanapon Sukumpantanasan as Ae and Saint Suppapong Udomkaewkanjana as Pete. It is now on its second season but the leads are now Mean and Plan.
17 He’s Coming To Me
Country: Thailand
He’s Coming To Me is not your typical BL drama. It’s about two people who fell in love with different circ*mstances. It’s a story of Mes, a ghost who has not reincarnated yet because he did not know the reason of his death. He was full of loneliness until he met a young boy, Thun who can see him. This is a story of friendship turned into something deeper.
16 Together With Me
Country: Thailand
Together With Me tells us the story of Knock and Korn prior to the “Bad Romance” series. It stars Max Nattapol Diloknawarit as Korn and Tul Pakorn Thanasrivanitchai as Knock. This is an adult version of BL series. There so many hot and sexy bed scenes here. It’s one of the most steamy BL series I have watched so far.
15 Theory of Love
Country: Thailand
Theory of Love is the most relatable BL series I have watched so far. If you experience unrequited love then you should watch this. This will surely make you shed tears. I know that most of us do not get a happy ending but Third and Khai got their happy ending so it’s something to look forward to. The plot is quite a cliche but it was played well so it’s worth spending time.
14 My Day The Series
Country: Philippines
My Day the series is one of the top of my list of the best Pinoy BL series that I have watched. It’s steamy but the sexy scenes were done with taste. It’s sexy but not vulgar. I love the tandem of Sky and Ace. They are both amazing actors. I love their chemistry. What I didn’t really enjoy is the side stories, especially the one with Moira. To me, it really doesn’t add value to the series. But, yeah, this is nice. I am so looking forward to the next episode.
13 HIStory: Trapped
Country: Taiwan
HIStory3: Trapped is not your typical BL series. The plot is quite different from the usual BL series we see. It’s a romantic-comedy, action BL. It’s full of utterly thrilling scenes. It won’t bore you, I promise you.
12 HIStory: Crossing The Line
Country: Taiwan
Made in Taiwan, HIStory 2: Crossing The Line or Boundary Crossing is a story about passion and romance. The story revolves around four people: Wang Zhen Wu, Wang Zhen Wen, Qiu Zi Xuan, and Xia Yu Hao.
This Taiwanese BL series stars Fandy Fan, Zach Lu, Nick Yang, and Patrick Shih. The plot may be a cliche “I hate you then I fall for you” but the actors made it interesting. I love the chemistry of Qiu Zi Xuan and Xia Yu Hao here.
11 My Extraordinary
Country: Philippines
My extraordinary has a different vibe. I don’t know but I got hooked when I watched the pilot episode. I like the plot and how Ken and Shake subtly fall for each other.I mean, you can definitely see there is something going on between the two of them. There were no words yet, but when Ken held Shake’s hand in the theater, I felt the love.
10 Gaya sa Pelikula
Country: Philippines
Gaya sa Pelikula is one of those “chill” BL series. It has no toxic characters, at least for now as it is still on episode 5 of 8. I love the chemistry between Vlad and Karl. The “Hey, neighbor” scene was so hot! I am looking forward to the next episode.
9 2 Moons The Series
Country: Thailand
Aside from the obviously good looking actors, 2Moons is also a BL series full of love and romance. There are no sex scenes and very limited kissing scenes but the love story of Wayo and Phana will make you look forward to each episode. It stars Bas Suradej Pinnirat as Wayo, a freshman student and God Itthipat Thanit as Phana, a popular second-year student and the previous year’s Campus Moon.
8 Dark Blue Kiss
Country: Thailand
Who can’t get over with Pete and Kao? Well, I can’t! Their tandem is probably one of the most remarkable in the BL genre. Dark Blue Kiss is a story two young male couple, Pete and Kao played by Tay Tawan Vihokratana and New Thitipoom Techaapaikhun respectively.
7 Game Boys
Country: Philippines
Game Boys is the first Filipino BL series I watched and it did not disappoint me. I had no expectations whatsoever but it instantly became my favorite Filipino BL series. The chemistry between Cairo and Gavreel is on point. I love the OST, the musical scoring, the plot, the actors, the acting, and the whole direction of the show.
The simplicity of the plot made it easy to follow. The conflict introduced here and there fit the storyline. Also, I believe that Pearl’s character was an integral part of the success of the series. She’s amazing. Seriously, we all need a Pearl in our lives.

6 2Gether The Series
Country: Thailand
2gether The Series is probably the most popular BL series of all time. It basically benefited to the current pandemic where most people are at home with lots of time to watch series and movies online.
2gether is a story of Tine played by Win Metawin Opas-iamkajorn, a handsome cheerleader who begged Sarawat played by Bright Vachirawit Chivaaree to be his fake boyfriend just to get away with Green who liked him. Sarawat is a campus heartthrob who actually secretly love Tine.

5 Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!
Country: Japan
So, this is now one of the BL series I am hooked with. It is still currently airing and it’s now on its fifth episode.
Cherry Magic The Series is a story of Adachi, a thirty-year-old virgin who developed an extraordinary skill of reading people’s minds whenever he touches them. He then realizes that a colleague that he admires professionally has a crush on him.
4 Sotus
Country: Thailand
SOTUS is one of the most popular BL series in Thailand. This wholesome series makes you want to fall in love with Kongpob played by Singto Prachaya Ruangroj. He may not have the prettiest face but his character is what you will certainly like in real life. He fell in love with his senior, Arthit played by Krist Perawat Sangpotirat.
3 Until We Meet Again
Country: Thailand
Until We Meet Again has quite a unique plot with exceptional acting and tackles social issues we are currently facinglike love, friendship, suicide, hom*ophobia, among others. It’s basically a story about love, forgiveness, and pain in between.
2 TharnType
Country: Thailand
TharnType is a hit Thai BL Series. In fact, it is considered as the most successful BL series in Thailand in 2019. It’s a story of two college dormmates, Tharn and Type. Type is hom*ophobic who learned that his roommate, Tharn is actually gay.
This BL series stars Mew Suppasit Jongcheveevat as Tharn and Gulf Kanawut Traipipattanapong as Type. This is the second on the list of my favorite BL series of all time. The chemistry between Mew and Gulf is undeniably adorable. The story will also make you fall in love with both of them. Thanks to its success, it gets a second season this year.
1 Addicted (Heroin)
Country: China
Addicted Heroin remains my top favorite BL series of all time. It’s a story of two students who did not know that they are actually step brothers. Bai Luo Yin is indiferrent with his mother while Gu Hai hates his father. They became friends without knowing that they are actually somehow related.
