The scan function to computer has been working properly for over half a year, but suddenly I found yesterday cannot scan to my computer (not sure the exact time it happens, last time I used on 16 July).
Very interesting that, when using the document feeder to scan, it seems works normally at first, the paper go into the feeder smoothly and come out, then the message "the file has been sent to your PC successfully" shown on the touch panel. But in fact, the scan document was not sent to computer, no file is received and the folder that the scan doc should be landed didnt pop out also.
However, when using the flatbed, the scan function works normally, my pc can receive the scan file.
Also, I have tried to use the scanning app on computer instead of using the scan shortcut on touch panel, the app works also, that the paper can be scanned and received. It happens in all other computer. Please help! thank you!!!

Yes, it can scan by using HP scan. But this still didnt solve the problem that when using the document feeder, it cannot scan...

Hi,
Please try following below steps and let me know how it goes:
- From the Start menu click the Gear icon, select Apps and uninstall the HP Basic Device Software for your printer.
- From the search bar type CMD, right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.
- Copy the following command, then right-click the Command Prompt dialog and select Paste, then press Enter till any command completes
- processing:
takeown /f %windir%\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository /r /d y
icacls "%windir%\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository" /grant %username%:(OI)(CI)F /T
