Are you new to the game? Are you mid game and want a hyperion, but don't know what weapons to get you there? Not know what AOTE/FOT/AOTS are? In this guide I briefly describe all weapons that are somewhat useful, in the order of skyblock progression.

I try to include every weapon that is somewhat useful, but don't be mad if your favorite weapon is not here. The notes here are as of 06/01/2021. I also did not include the ender slayer items since they are quite new.

Early game weapons (<1M)

  • Undead sword (100 coins): good enough to kill early game mobs. Maybe your first weapon, but you want to get something stronger soon.
  • Silver fang (3k): good enough to kill early game mobs. Maybe your first weapon, but you want to get something stronger soon.
  • AOTE (100k): Aspect of the End. Everyone ones one of these. One of the most versatile weapons in the entire game thanks to the teleport ability, and strong enough to one-tap zealots with a good setup too.
    • Raider's axe (130k): another option to one-tap zealots but is not quite efficient thanks to AOTE being cheap.
  • Runaan's (300k): a relatively cheaap jack-of-all-trades bow, good for killing wolves / crypt ghouls.
    • Hurricane bow (60k): good for breaking the ender slayer's shield, I guess.
  • Rev Falchion (900k): good for doing early game zombie slayers.

Here are weapons that are out-of-meta but used to be good:

  • Jerry-chine gun (800k now). Was a good mage item, but nerfed to the ground recently.
    • Note: what are mage items? Mage is a class in dungeons specializing in abilities, and mage items tendto deal damage with their abilities.

Mid game weapons (1-13M)
I want to highlight the dungeon trio: FoT, Livid Dagger and Spirit Sceptre. They used to be about equally good, but the recent nerfs have greatly upset their balance.

  • FoT (3.6M now): flower of truths. Good for room clearing, hit the hardest by the nerfs. (Sad FoT noises) It now sees good use as an early-ish game out-of-dungeon sword.
  • Livid Dagger (8.5M): good for dealing single-target melee damage, thanks to the 100% crit change, bonus attack speed and the backstab bonus.
  • Spirit Sceptre (13M): this is a great mage weapon until you get midas spoon / hyperion, and has spiked in price in recent times.

Here are the remaining mid game weapons:

  • Emerald Blade (300k*): this weapon gets stronger the more coins you have in your purse. It is great for late game players with e.g. 100M+ coins in their purse, but is also decnet with fewer coins.
  • Scorpion Foil (1M): this weapon is used primarily for Tara slayers, and is a great weapon for that job.
  • Bonzo staff (3M): the loudest weapon in the game, but decent for early-game mages.
  • Reaper falchion (4M): this weapon is used primarily for Rev slayers, and is a great weapon for that job.
  • Bonemerang (9M): this used to be the go-to for end game archers and costed 2.5x the current price, but the sword swap nerf hit this weapon hard.
  • Warped AOTE (10M): this is around the same level as livid dagger, though one advantage is that you get to keep using your AOTE for damage.

Out-of-meta items in this category include the pigman sword and leaping sword. You see them in old skyblock videos, but they have been heavily outclassed.

Mid-late game weapons (13-100M)

  • Shadow Fury (20M): a strong dungeon sword and the teleport ability is good for clearing dungeon.
  • Soul Whip (20M): this weapon is used primarily for Sorrow Farming, and is the best weapon for that job.
  • Ice spray wand (25M): this is a mage item that freezes enemies in place, which make it great as a support weapon.
  • AoTS (65M): Axe of the shredded. Great weapon for Rev slayer, and the throwing ability makes it good for general berserker use too.
  • Yeti sword (70M): strong melee weapon, but I don't know much about it.
  • Midas spoon (100M): Midas staff. A strong mage weapon before getting hyperion.

End game weapons (>100M)

  • Hyperion/Valkyrie (400+M): they are the best mage / berserker sword in the game, and you can swap between them using items worth 4-10M. The hyperion is mostly known for Wither Impact, which is an ability that acts like AOTE + kills every mob around you. It's good, hence the steep price.
  • Giant's Sword (180M): this does a ton of damage with the One for All enchant, which makes it good after the strength nerve.
  • Daedalus axe (30M*): people usually use this with Chimera (an extremely expensive enchant) to copy 2x your pet's stat onto the player. This is good for doing specific setups, such as getting high magic find.
